Dells--Day One
Finally we made it to the Dells. A lot of you out there are complaining about how cold it is at your house. Well, we Minnesotans don't like to brag, but we bet it was colder here than at your house. On Sunday morning when we left for the Dells, it was -10 with a windchill of -31. And, to tell you how tough we are, Jim went out to load up the car for our trip. We don't have an attached garage and he did it all in the driveway. When he finished, he came in the house and said"it's really not that cold out". That's what living in Minnesota for 8 1/2 years will get you. Annalise and Uncle Brandon relax with a beer before the game. Her sleeper was undone because it was so warm in the Dells. A whopping -5.
Uncle Brandon and Henry (or Hen-ro, as Evie called him all weekend). If you look closely, you will see Henry's mouth completely stuffed with goldfish crackers. That's pretty much all he ate the entire weekend.
Annalise relaxes by the pool. She wasn't impressed with the Klondike Kavern
Evie and Jim play in the kiddie pool
It's pretty hard to keep a millon square feet of water park warm when it is -5 outside. Evie needed 3 warm towels to warm up. You can't see it, but her lips and hands were actually purple. The price of having fun.
