Volvo Driving Soccer Mom

It's official. I am a Volvo Driving Soccer Mom. Living in Carmel, Indiana. If it weren't for the Volvo, I'm sure the Republicans would have been knocking on my door to hand me my membership card. This was Evie's first day of Soccer. That's her in the orange shorts (no surprise there). I don't want to be sounding like one of those competitive moms, but I'm pretty sure that she had the best soccer skills out there. Yes, of all the organized chaos, her's was the most organized.
It's sunny here in Indiana and they don't believe in trees at their parks so we had to wear our hats. Annalise kept hers on for about 20 seconds at a time. I spent the entire 45 minutes of soccer practice putting her hat back on.
Tooth update! We now have 2 bottom teeth! You still can't see them.
We all went to to local strawberry patch on Tuesday to pick strawberries. We made a pie for dad's big return dinner tonight. Here's Evie eating only the strawberry and gel portion of the pie.
Here is Annalise's favorite thing to do--hold someone's hands and walk around. If you look closely at Mom's arm in this picture you can see the raging case of poision ivy that I contracted at the local strawberry patch. All other red welts are hives. It's a pretty itchy day here.
Annalise has also become a pretty good crawler. In fact, she wears herself out so much that she is sleeping all night and takes 2 1/2 hour afternoon naps ( I probably just jinxed myself). In this picture, she spit up some of her dinner and then crawled through it and left a trail like a slug. Looks like someone will be mopping the floor tonight.
And finally, to add to her soccer skills, Evie is getting the hang of writing. Look closely at this card and you can see where she wrote her own name along the bottom. She also spelled mom "OMO". Pure genius.
