hanging out in the backyard

Today Evie decided that she would rather play in the back yard than go to the splash park again. That was just fine with mom because I didn't have to pack anything up or do any work. I actually sat and read a book for a whole 5 minutes! We got out the slip and slide and the little pool. They slip and slid for about 3 minutes and then spent the rest of the time splashing in the pool
Evie came over and told me she was going to jump in the pool like the big kids. I didn't know what she meant until she did it. I think she was trying to dive. No one told her that diving means going in head first. Man, the Olympics will probably give her some ideas...Then we decided to do some bubble blowing. Here's an action shot.
Annalise has a lot to learn about bubble blowing. Not so much bubble eating. she did manage to blow some "tiny bubbles".
Then they decided to blow bubbles from the fort. Later, they gave up blowing bubbles and asked for the battery powered bubble machine.
