Taco Night

All those marketing people at Kraft finally cracked Jim and he was asking for Old El Paso taco night. Since some people in the family (evie) think that anything with salt or pepper is too spicy, I was reluctant to have Taco night. As you can see, I caved because it started sounding good to me too. After attempting a traditional hard shell taco (on the green plate), Evie bites into a soft taco. She liked to put the cheese and lettuce on. Jim convinced her that sour cream will remove the spicyness of the meat.
Evie now has the hang of Taco night.
If you haven't heard, the black plague descended over our house about 2 weeks ago and it doesn't look like it is going away any time soon. First Evie got it, then Jim and I got it. I recovered and Jim got worse. Once Jim started to feel better, Evie started to feel worse. One trip to the ER and we were diagonsed with a nasty virus and told to take Ibuprofen (that's modern medicine). Evie finally got better on Thursday and went to school on Friday when her voice returned. Unfortunately, Annalise started the downward spiral on Friday afternoon. She was up just about every hour on the hour last night and was only happy when properly medicated and held. (Jen, it's a good thing you and Adli didn't make the trip!) Here she is putting her best smile forward.
In the midst of all of this, she has sprouted 3 more teeth! That brings the running total to 7.

    Uncle Jim-

You can come to our house for tacos. We have Taco Tuesday every week. And usually once more too. Mom says baby Gordo likes tacos, so we eat them all the time.
