Project days....

With the hole in the deck looming, Jim and his assistants got to work closing it up before any critters could make a home under the world's reddest deck. Things started out slow. It took about 3 hours to get to this point. Lots of remeasuring going on.
Safety first.

Meanwhile, out in the garage, I FINALLY finished painting Annalise's bed. What a pain those spindles were. They turned out ok. Just don't look too closely. I plan on NEVER painting this bed again unless I use a spray gun.

Annalise also napped under the bed tent. It works pretty good to keep her in bed at naptime and bedtime.

This was the view from the upstairs when Annalise got up at 3:30

And finally, around 5 pm, all the boards were cut. Not exactly secured to the deck because of some business about capping off wires so the deck doesn't burn down. Minor details. Hopefully it will get fastened up this week and Annalise's bed will move into her room and we can move on to our next fall project...deck painting. Ugh.
