Holiday Cooking
This evening, we got caught up on our cooking. We had Fajitas for dinner and Annalise was begging to try a raw onion, so we gave her one. She ate the whole thing without complaint. I think Annalise is changing over to walking as her primary mode of transportation. This morning, she was crawling across her room, then stood up and walked. Man, is she fast. You can't leave her alone for a second because she will get in trouble quickly. Let's just say, don't leave the toliet lid up at our house anymore, if you know what I mean.
Evie and I were inspired by the recipe in the Meijer ad and made gingerbread cookies. Here I am showing off my best Emril Lagasse hunch while decorating the cookies with my Pampered Chef icing squirter thing. I don't know the offical name of it, but I highly recommend it. And it was even easy to clean out.
Evie insisted that we needed some holiday sprinkles on the gingerbread men so she worked diligently on placing individual sprinkles on the icing. She lost her shirt earlier in the evening because she was helping to roll out the dough and ended up with a good portion on her sleeve.
