STOP TALKING!!!
It should come as no surprise that my kids talk.
A LOT.
They come from a long line of talkers. Just having Kochs in their lineage would doom me, but they also have Great Grandma Wagner, Grandma Seibert (the hair dresser) and me--I guess I was also quite the talker in my day. Probably at some point in my fourth or fifth year of life, my mother probably cursed me by saying something along the lines of "I hope your kids talk as much as you do." Well, your dream came true, Mom. My day went something like this:
"Mom. mom. mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom mom--"
"What?"
" Can I.... (fill in the blank)?"
No, that's harmful to your health/your sister's health/ the walls/ etc"
Repeat approximately 18000 times.
I tried to escape them by cleaning the bathroom, changing the sheets and even making cabbage slaw, but they always wanted to hang out with me and help me. I guess in 5 or 10 years I will be missing my little helpers, but right now, I could use a break from their help.
I can't wait until they can go outside again.
Thank goodness Jim is not out of town this week. I told him that the only voice I want to hear after 7 pm tonight is the voice of Victor Newman and company on Young and the Restless. Thank goodness for the Soap Channel.
There is other things going on besides the gradual loss of my mind. Annalise had her Valentine's party at school yesterday. The teacher sent out this picture and I had to share it.
Don't they all look so cute? And it makes me feel better knowing that there are other little girls who have hair issues. Because this may be the longest winter ever on record (according to Evie), we have had to step up the craft activities. She also no longer has to sit on the couch quietly for a half hour (although she does have to be quiet while mom rests her ears for 30 minutes). Today, Evie tackled June's birthday present. If you are reading this June, look away so you are surprised. Evie painted the letters of an alphabet puzzle for June. Here's a stock tip, buy stock in Michael's craft store because we are getting new projects from there about once a week.
Annalise turned up the goof tonight at dinner. After she ate her cabbage slaw like worms, she had about 2 bites of chocolate pudding.
