Chew Mail Pouch
This Advent season, we are trying to do something special with the kids each day. This week we visited the "blinking light house"--a house who's Christmas lights blink in time to music, went to the CHS Christmas Choral Spectacular, and watched a Christmas Veggie Tail movie. Today was the day we worked on our Christmas confection. Who wants a boring old house, train or sleigh when you could have your very own Gingerbread Barn! Thanks TSC! Now all of our baby goats have somewhere to sleep at night.
Evie and Annalise touch each and every topping. Isn't Evie's headband doing a great job of keeping her hair in place?
Annalise carefully places her gum drops on the barn's gambrel roof. They didn't get the Mail Pouch reference. I just told them it's something that some people paint on the side of barns. Of course, I could have had the Ohio Bicentennial symbol on it, but my cake decorating skills aren't that good. Maybe if I take that class at Michael's I could get better.
In Indiana, there aren't too many barns without basketball hoops. Unfortunately, Tractor Supply overlooked this in their packaging and only supplied us with gummy presents and candy canes. Bummer.
There were even gummy animals of substantial weight. The horse head had to be hot glued in place because no amount of frosting would hold that up.
And our finished product! It now decorates the dining room table. We probably have the only gingerbread barn on the block.
