The first big snow

Brace yourselves, my Upper Midwestern Readers. We here in Indiana got our first big snow last night. We awoke to a nice frosting of about a 1/2. When Annalise looked out the window, she had asked if Santa came. Cute. Anyway, when Evie got home from school today, she wanted to make a snowman. But the weather didn't agree and there wasn't much snow left. Here she is with her slushy snowball. That yellow thing on the drive is her snow gauge to measure exactly how much snow we received.
My little multicolored elf at work. Fortunately, for the most part, she doesn't care how I dress her so it's hand me downs, garage sales, and clearance bin all the way for outerwear.

Evie and her snowman. Those boots are rated for a much harsher winter. Maybe on the moon.
