Almost the first swim meet
After two weeks of somewhat intense morning practices, Evie got slotted for her first swim meet today! She was set to swim the "freestyle" in the fourth heat for kids 6 and under. This means that her coach finally thinks that she can combo doggie paddle and swim under water 12 yards without sinking.

Evie and her buddy, Gabby. Gabby is in her second year and gets to swim 4 races!
The kids use a permanent marker on their arms to write down their events, lane and heat. Evie has one event written on her right arm. On her other arm, we wrote "Swim Fast" but it smudged.
Our team and coached get all pumped up! The started to get things rolling early because a big storm was rolling in.
Evie all lined up to swim. Unfortunately, after 4 or 5 races for the 6 and unders, we heard thunder. That put us in a delay. The meet ended up gettign canceled due to the bad weather. We will try again next Tuesday.
