Our weekend.

We had a great weekend. We started out pretty early as dad had to do concessions at the soccer field. When he got home, we went to the community pumpkin festival at the local hospital. We went because they had free pumpkins, but we were surprised to see what else they had. There was all kinds of health screenings, lots of animals to pet, the Colts and Pacer Moblies and the lifeflight helocopter landed!First things first, Evie picks this warty pumpkin.
Not sure what her problem is....

Then she found a pumpkin to take home.

I found something I wanted to take home. We learned that goats eat poision ivy! I found some poision ivy in the yard today. Guess we need to get a goat.

Then the lifeflight helocopter landed in the parking lot. It was really windy. We all had parking lot grit in our hair.
And also very loud. This is as close as I ever want to get to lifeflight. We see them flying over our house a lot.

Then we went home and were greeted by our friends, Jeff and Glenn from Pittsburg. Since it was Evie's last soccer game, we dragged them along with the promise of the "end of season DQ party" after the game.
Annalise got a hold of the camera again. Here's dad.

Glenn and Jeff minus their foreheads. YOu would think a girl with a giant forehead would document the foreheads of others. Maybe she is consciencously cutting them out to hope that someone would only take a picture of 2/3's of her forehead.

Mom, happy that this is the last game of the season and we didn't have to sit through a single rain game.

The white team in all their glory. Evie scored about 3 goals this game. Her coach thinks she is pretty talented when she isn't laying down in the grass or doing cartwheels.

The post season celebration at the DQ. All the kids get trophies.

The girls and Uncle Jeff. Jeff and Glenn were great guests! We hope you come back to visit soon!

We spent the afternoon outside working in the yard. Jim finished up the deck where the hot tub was. I think we are just waiting on some stainless steel screws to screw the flashing in and then we are done! I yanked up the tomatoes, peppers and cabbages that were still growing. Then I got on a roll cutting down perennials. By the time it was 6 pm, we decided to get some Chinese for dinner.

The girls decided to try to eat with chopsticks. They never gave up.

Evie was a little better, but they didn't get too much to their bellies.
