A big day

Well, we haven't posted for a while, so we have a lot of catching up to do.Annalise, or Linky, as she is more popularly known, has mastered the art of rolling over. Both ways, from belly to back and then back again to belly. Full circle. We give it a week until she starts getting stuck under furniture.
This morning she woke up on her belly and was pretty upset about it--"hey, who did this to me and where is the ceiling? "
Evie works diligently on her Dora velvet poster.
Mom thought it would be cute to dress us alike while she still can. and before Evie starts getting embarassed.
Too late, Evie is embarassed.
Evie constructed a boat from a meat tray, playdoh, straw and construction paper...
...and it floats.
Annalise's first tooth is just about ready to push through. We gave her a ice cube to chew on, of course, Evie wanted one too.

Annalise eats pasta for dinner. No more smooshed stuff for this baby.

Evie and Mike

Evie and her new buddy, Mike Lupke, are checking out the area parks this spring. They are having lots of fun going down slides and generally getting dirty. We did find out that it is so early in the season that the public restrooms aren't open yet. Fortunately, there's always a Starbucks nearby.

Growing girl

After a weekend of getting muscled around by cousin Oliver, Annalise decided it was time to bulk up. We visited our new peditrican today. Annalise weighed in at 17 pounds 8 ounces--still smaller than Oliver. She wore this skin tight T-shirt to show off her abs. Uh, not six pack abs. More like a drink box abs.
Our pink flowery girls playing.
It rained again today, but stopped long enough to fire up the grill for hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner. Evie stomped in puddles and made footprints while dinner cooked. Notice our fancy deck furniture in the background. That's all we have for our future cookouts. Looks like we need to do some shopping again this weekend.

DONE!!

We are offically moved in!! Both cars are in the garage. No, that big spot on the driveway isn't fluid from Jim's car, it's the remains of the mulch mountain.

Egg Hunt

There was a big Easter Egg hunt at the Seibert Easter party this weekend. Evie didn't fully understand because she was only looking for eggs that made sounds when you rattled them. She didn't understand that Reece's peanut butter cups don't make any sounds. Here are Evie and Natalie waiting for the green light. There were about 6 dozen eggs to hunt and exactly 3 kids to hunt them. That means that the parents are doing a lot of candy eating now.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Taller

Grandpa and Grandma Taller, your package FINALLY arrived today. We had fun opening it and seeing what is inside.Annalise tastes her card
Evie reads the Easter book
We think Evie's dress will fit
Annalise likes clothes that haven't been worn by her sister.
Annalise liked the hat more than Evie. Evie was just using it to torture Annalise (she had to work really hard to remove it from her head.)

Match-Match

Here are Evie and Annalise in their matching T-shirts from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Seibert. Man, if we could only find another pair of orange cargo pants for Annalise.
Evie doing her Waldo impersonation.
The Mulch Mountain that was delivered on Thursday. 4 yards. We think that we have about half of it spread. Only 2 shovels full from the pink shovel, then it was on to something else.

Just A Swingin'

We played outside in the incredible weather. Incredible because it wasn't raining!Annalise enjoys one of her first rides on the swing. If you push her and say "WEEEE" she will laugh.
Evie almost has the pumping with your legs thing down. Unfortunately, she also has a very short attention span so she forgets a lot.
This is Evie with her high contact sliding skills to make Annalise laugh.
Sometimes, you get a little dirty when you play as hard as we do.

The "new" swingset

Natalie, Oliver, and Hank, this is just a preview of the fun waiting for you at our house this weekend!Evie demonstrates the slide
Here she is in the cushy grass.
Here she climbs the rope ladder
She was hanging from the trapeze, but mom wasn't fast enough with the camera
And tbe best trick is to climb to the top of the swingset. Dad promises to have all the bolts tightened before you come.

Our Easter pictures--a week late

Things have been pretty hetic around here and we haven't been the best practicing Catholics, but we finally made it to church this weekend. Here are the girls all dressed up
Being silly

Touching one another and no one is crying.

What we've been up to.

Now that all the boxes are unpacked we can get down to the business of having fun. Annalise is happy...in spurts. We think that a tooth might be trying to come in and it makes her pretty grumpy if she isn't occupied--like when she is sleeping. Sometimes makes for a long night for mom and dad.Annalise plays with the animal train before Evie takes it away from her.
Evie plays in the last box of paper. It honestly kept her busy for a whole day.
Evie napping. What an angel. Seriously, I may have to frame this because she only takes naps for Dad. Or dad will have to come home from work every day at naptime.

Peek a Boo!

This is the best way to get a cranky baby in a good mood. First you cover her up with a scarf. Then you taunt her until she pulls it off (she's getting pretty good at it)
It's baby endorsed fun. Try it the next time you are in a bad mood.

Annalise is 7 months old!

We're back! We finally got our DSL hooked up (kind of) and we aren't relying on our neighbor's unsecured wireless network. By the way, belkin54g, thanks for letting us log on, but can you leave your modem on all the time? Sometimes when we were looking at important websites, it would cut out. Now we can fully surf the web and check our emails! Anyway, back to business. Annalise is 7 months old today! The little Stinker-Dinker celebrated by helping with laundry. In addition to solving our DSL problem, we have solved Annalise's pooping (or lack there of) problem. A little formula seems to do the trick and now we are back to the days of newborn poop explosions. And baths almost every night.
She also celebrated with a maple flavored biter biscuit. Delicous from her eyebrows down to her jowels. We think she is getting some bottom teeth because she is turning into a BEAR at night. So now we send her to bed with some ibuprofen and baby orajel. That seems to work until about 5 am. Then it's anyone's guess how to make her happy.

Happy Easter

We spent our first holiday in the new house with Grandpa and Grandma. Yes, the Easter Bunny found us.
Evie enjoying a Peep
Annalise impersonating the Easter Bunny. Being 7 months old is great because your parents can dress you funny and there's nothing you can do about it.
Evie searches for eggs--inside because it was too cold outside.
Grandma caught the Faux Easter Bunny on her way out the door to the bunny trail.

The new swingset

When mom and dad were driving out of the subdivision to go look for a kitchen table, mom spotted a sign for a free swingset. Since the price was right, we brought it home in pieces. Here is the biggest piece taking a ride on top of the Grocery Getter. It has been assembled and is Evie approved. Still needs the baby swing for Annalise hooked up but we are waiting for a nice warm day.
