Just playing around

Not a lot going on around here today. Not like in Ohio where the football and basketball teams are ranked number one in the nation and it's our cousin, Natalie's, birthday. (Happy Birthday Natalie!) Man, what a great time to be in Ohio. What's better than Webbles in the Webble house? Pom Poms. They are much quieter when they ride down the slide.
Annalise is flashing smiles like you wouldn't believe. Starting to look more like her sister too.
There are lots of things you can do with your new found mouth and hand. Like suck on your fingers
Or stick your tounge out.

It's Christmastime!! Finally!!

Finally!!! Evan and Marin (and their parents) came and left and Thanksgiving is over so now we can put up the Christmas Trees! It was such a lazy day that we all stayed in our Pajammies all day. We only changed at bedtime into clean pajammies.Evie works hard on her Christmas tree. We had to help her spread the cheer around the tree, otherwise there would have been 50 ornaments on the same branch.
Annalise Supervises. Appreciates the new scenery.
I've given it my drool of approval.

Evie puts the star on with Dad's help.
Dad and Annalise lounging around.Again, we had to help disperse the ornaments

Our visit from the Bray Family

We had a fun visit from the Bray Family. Evie had a great time playing with Evan and Marin. They indulged her by playing with her non stop the whole time they were here. We all sat down and watched Dora together. I think that Evan may have learned something to help in Spanish class. Evan and Evie share a laugh as Evan opens his present.

Evie got a huge bag full of art supplies from Evan and Marin. She has been crafting ever since. Watch out, Christmas is coming and there will probably be something embelished with foam stickers in your mailbox soon.Evan's present was a disk thrower thing. They took it to the park to try it out. Here's Evie showing him how it works.
The disk is in the air and so is Marin! Here they are. We had so much fun.

Thanksgiving Feast

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving feast. Instead of slaving over the stove all day and making everything from scratch, like Martha Stewart-Aunt Becky, we called 1-800-Grocery-Store and ordered our Turkey dinner. Honestly, it was 150% worth the cash we laid out because we didn't have to do any chopping, cleaning or shopping. We did have to get ourselves together enough to figure out when to warm it all up. Here's a picture of us getting ready to eat our delicous dinner with Kathy, Jay, Evan and Marin Bray.

Thanksgiving preparations

We are trying hard to get excited for Thanksgiving. It's pretty hard since there is Christmas stuff everywhere. So we have been focusing on Turkeys for the last week. Today, we made Turkey cookies to eat when Evan and Marin come to visit us on Thanksgiving. Evie took a very active role in decorating. Her future as a pastry chef/cake decorator is off to a good start.

Here's Evie demonstrating the art of feather placement on the cookie. Note the picture that she is working off of is a picture from the coupon section of the newspaper. A finished turkey. Evie was in charge of the feathers and eyes and Mom is in charge of the frosting.
This is hard work.

The finished products. Note the green and orange around Evie's lips. No good chef will serve something without trying it first.

Go Buckeyes!

There are so many ways that we could start this post...
The Greatest Day Ever....
"Jim Tressel OWNS Michigan"--Brandon Turner
"That's what I'm talking about"--Kip Annalise dresses for her first Ohio State-Michigan game. In her lifetime, Ohio State remains undefeated.
Evie also gets pumped up for the game. She slept until halftime, that's why she is so happy. In her lifetime, Ohio State remains undefeated against Michigan.
Who would you rather encounter, the Buckeyes' D-line, or Evie?
Here we are all watching the game

I love the Buckeyes--This is Annalise's first 1-2 matchup. As you recall, I was STILL PREGNANT when we watched the Ohio State-Texas game eariler this season. Needless to say, I had a beer this time around.
Troy Smith is my hero...I can't take my eyes off of him.

We're going to go burn couches and turn a couple cars over, right after this nap.

In the living room

Yea!! We are going to empty the toy box today!
The toybox makes a great boat after I dumped everything overboard.
Hey grandmas, I think we found a box big enough to ship Evie to you. Plenty of ventilation and room for a couple of bananas and a box of cheerios
That Evie is so funny.

Tuesday

Jumping is very popular at our house right now.
Annalise went to the dr. today for her 2 month appointment. She weighs 11-8 now. She got all those great shots and pretty much slept all day.
Evie and Annalise. What you don't see in this picture is the poop explosion that we discovered when we took her out of the swing. This is the second time this week, but this one sent her straight to the bathtub. Thank goodness Jim was home to help with the toxic waste removal.
Still Jumping.....

Monday

She flies through the air with the greatest of ease...all this on no nap.
Annalise found her fist to suck on today. It was pretty satisifing...
...Until she lost it.

Annalise is 2 months old

Annalise is now 2 months old. She has a new trick...she is sharing her voice with us and making nice little baby sounds. Not just grunts and crying anymore at our house. This is a picture of her on her 2 month birthday. She's on the changing table, the happiest place on earth...to her.

Annalise Day

I noticed that the blog has been pretty full of Evie and not much Annalise. So here's some for your Annalise fill of the dayThis is Annalise after going for a walk. It was invigorating.
If you were an asian Ladybug or a box elder bug, this is what you would see when crawling across the living room floor.
Laura came over to create chalk art with Evie
Tell me she doesn't already have an attitude.

For Aunt Becky

Aunt Becky emailed a request for another post. Since we regularly bug her about posting more Hank pictures, we were happy to oblige. Our day was pretty normal around here. First we stripped the beds and Evie jumped in the sheets. Then we went outside to do a little yard work. It was 70 degrees here today. Don't let the Republicans lead you to believe there is no such thing as global warming. Good thing that they are out of control in the Senate. We Democrats are celebrating today.
Then Evie swapped trikes with Pat's (our neighbor) great grandson, Austin. They rode around the driveway until it got dark...at 5pm.
And Annalise...Boy she had a busy day. On Wednesdays when Evie and I go to school, our neighbor, Pat, comes to stay with Annalise. I guess Annalise has been relatively easy to take care of until today. Today, she took a bottle and then had a messy diaper. As Pat was changing her, Annalise projectile pooped across the room onto Evie's bed. I think Pat was a little alarmed. It all came out of the sheets, but boy, there was a lot to clean up. We'll see if Pat comes back next week.
Here's Annalise looking innocent. Don't let her fool you. Or maybe don't change her unless you are really brave and aren't wearing dry clean only clothes.

Have you seen Her???

Missing: Natalie Seibert's pictures from our computer. She's 3 feet tall with curly hair. Her parents never send out pictures so we have to rely on Grandpa and Grandma to take and send out pictures of her. The person you really need to feel bad for is her future brother or sister. Man, that kid will have serious second child syndrome.

The Wisconsin Dells Rule! Day 2

We spent the morning and part of the afternoon taking advantage of the indoor swimming pools. We went to this particular resort for Evie's second birthday. Since then, they have added a third indoor area. It has a massive wave pool, a family waterslide and a great kids area. The best part was that the ceiling was made of glass. They said you could get a tan through the glass. Believe me, all the upper midwestern people there would benefit from that feature. Here's Jenni and Evie in the wave pool. The wave pool would shoot out waves every ten minutes or so. You knew when it would start because a buzzer would sound. Evie had so much fun in the waves that every time she heard the buzzer she took off towards the waves.
You can't see it in this picture, but Annalise is dipping her toes in the water. This is the only time we got Evie to sit still all day.
Here's the supermodel in the kids area.
Back in the wave pool again. Here's us taking a wave like a couple of wimpy girls.
This is where Annalise spent most of her time. Becky helped to make this sweet sling that we wore all weekend. Annalise was comfy and close by at all times. (It did get a little hot after a while, that's why she's stripped down to just her onesie.) Jim was such a sport to wear a floral pattern. I will be making him one that is something more manly, like camo or racecar printed.
