last week

The beginning of summer vacation was fast here. We had a great Memorial Day weekend with lots of swimming and cookouts. It was awesome. Then we had a day and a half to gear up for the arrival of the SC Turners.
Annalise is flexing her art muscles and made these glasses for Evie and herself.
Annalise started soccer. This is her first "team" sport. She really enjoyed it and ran all morning long. Later that day, she had her cast removed! She is healed! She was holding it funny for a few days but now is almost completely back to normal.
Henry, Juner and Aunt Becky arrived. As always, we were having too much fun to take many pictures. We did promise Henry a marshmallow roast. So in between eating hot dogs and going to the pool, we ate smores. They were awesome, but we think we will stick to the regular marshmallows. I found chocolate vanilla swirled ones at Target, but when you roast them, they turn this weird green. Wow, what a warning signal. Doesn't bother Juner much though.
Three kids eating up the smores. We also had Marin and Evan over for some fun.
Evie had her last soccer game of the season. Sadly, it may be the last game of her career as she told Jim that she needs a break from soccer. She is thinking of gymnastics in the fall. Hmmm.....
Juner was super cute. We wanted to keep her. When she gets excited she does a little dance and she is always so happy to see you first thing in the morning. She calls all women "mommy" and all men "papa". Jim and I ate that up. She also calls all girls "Sadie"--her cousin on the Turner side of the family.
Annalise shared her animals and they both had a great time lining them up and playing with them, until June decided that she wanted Annalise's horse that makes sounds. then there was trouble.
June's animals were sleeping. Adorable.
And she yelled out the name of each animal. We can't wait to have more nieces and nephews. thanks for coming to visit, Turner family. And if you are interested in seeing more of their trip (because Aunt Becky took more pictures than I did), cruise on over to their blog, the Turner family.
